Recolheita was conceived by a group of students who were passionate about sustainable living and personally experienced the difficulties of finding reliable organic food in urban settings. Recognizing this widespread challenge, they set out to create a UX case study focused on connecting local farmers with city buyers. By combining their diverse backgrounds in agriculture and technology, the team collaborated to design a platform that emphasizes accessibility, transparency, and sustainability in the food supply chain.

The app connects people directly to local farmers, allowing users to easily browse and select organic options suited to their location and specific dietary needs—including support for those with restricted diets like celiacs and lactose intolerants.
